Easter Treats

While I have no idea what chocolate and candy and bunnies have to do with Easter, I do love to make Easter treats.

Once again this year, my mom and I will be making our Easter Eggs. I love this tradition of ours and I know I'll still be making these eggs with my kids while my grandchildren sit at my kitchen and decorate eggs. One of these will go home with each of the dinner guests from our family Easter celebration on Sunday.

I'm also going to try my hand at some bunny and egg cookies. I have the cookie cutters to make these:

Mine will not look nearly this cute. I really like decorating cookies, even though it's quite time- consuming. These will be on the dessert table after Easter dinner.

I'm also going to try Bakerella's cake pops. She is incredibly creative and patient. I plan to just do the egg shapes, dipped in dark chocolate with some coloured chocolate drizzled around. These are Bakerella's. Mine will NOT look anything like these! These will go to the kids' friends at school tomorrow.

I still have to come up with an adult dessert for Easter dinner. I'm thinking of either Pavlova (which I have never made, nor eaten, but I've heard is amazing); or this Almond Toffee Tart (for which I will have to buy a new pan). Unless you have a suggestion...

Oh, now this is just awesome. I haven't even committed to making anything resembling a holiday dinner, let alone fantastic dessert and treats1 You are kicking butt, my dear.
