Chicago is my kind of town.

We loved it. Had a blast.

We had a late dinner on Saturday night beside some of the Chicago Bulls, including this guy:

Drew Gooden - photo credit: NBA.com

For those who like details: he had a whole bottle of red wine to himself and tomato bisque. Yum

We did a ton of shopping. Have you heard of this place?

All I can say is Parents are C-R-A-Z-Y!

And we just generally had a great time with no kids, no husbands, no messy houses, no meals to cook. I highly recommend a weekend away with your best friends in the world.

We've already decided that it's Boston next year!

I had never seen that place until we went to Chicago a week before you and oh, I was HORRIFIED!

Also, the face of the defender in that shot of Drew Gooden is priceless.

I love Chicago! I've only been twice (once for 24 hours for work), but I can't wait to go back. Looks like you had a ton of fun.

So glad you had a good time. Chicago is on my list of cities I still need to visit. And with it being so close to Toronto, I really have no excuse but to get on it!

Thanks for the aadded inspiration!

I have never even heard of American Girl. I guess I need to get on my google and check it out.

Chicago sounds awesome. I have never been. Some day. Glad you had fun!

Dude, I was outside of that very American Girl on Saturday, and I actually told Brett that maybe we should think twice about having children.

I think you would totally love Boston as well.

We now have an American Girl store here and I find it oddly scary SLASH intriguing.

Boston is awesome...I do recommend.

So glad you had a nice time. Chicago is Honey's wet dream city, he loves it there so much. He is convinced it is Utopia.

I think he is exagerating, but maybe he is right?

My MIL and SIL are always trying to get my niece into American Girl stuff, but she staunchly resists. She's a good girl, that one.
Glad you had a great trip!

that looks like such a fun weekend! we went to chicago in october and i loved it. the city has so much energy and some of the most beautiful architecture I've seen in North America. I had a similar reaction to the mania at American Girl - what's the big deal?
