It’s ba-ak…

Back in September I was whining about an awful picture of me that was posted not only on the university’s main page for 5 days, but then made a grand appearance in the newspaper that weekend. Well, it’s BACK.

The project for which the picture was taken won an award. Instead of shooting a new picture, they just pulled up the old one. I clicked on the university web page for something else and there I was – still big, still beefy, still looking like a moron.

I was just about to write that yesterday didn’t end up being too bad after all. But who cares about that now?

Worst. I haven't had that happen, but I have seen a few friends wedding photographer's sites with their pictures and cringed at myself in a few shots.

What are you my best friend or something? She doesn't like to be photographed, neither do I with my neck roll, or even speak in public. By the way, I love your blog.

I am in exactly the same boat! My firm website photo is so bad- I look like a troll. I can ignore it and pretend it's not there by avoiding my webpage, but when they made me partner, they ran it in the newpaper, etc. I had to tell all of my friends that it was their duty to pretend they never saw it and to never ever mention it. But, seriously, troll. A troll with big bags under her eyes. Sad.

I just saw that Kim posted right above me- hilarious! I am the friend she is referring to. Poor Kim had to listen to me go on and on about my troll photo!

Oh, man. It's like Murphy's Law or something. Whenever I have my eyes closed or appear to have 3 chins, THAT'S the photo that gets ran in the newspaper.

I'm sorry.

Oh gosh, I feel your pain. But top THIS: I once worked at a coffeehouse, and they randomly took a picture of me holding two of our new smoothie flavors. I was like, fine, whatever, maybe this is going in the online newsletter or something. No, it got BLOWN UP AND PUT ON A POSTER and was then PLASTERED TO THE FRONT WINDOW facing the street. All summer long I hung there, smiling down at passing traffic while holding out two giant smoothie mugs like a German bar maid.

I am FRANTIC in my need not to have horrible pictures of myself seen by other people, so I am really cringing for you right now. That's AWFUL.

Isn't it just typical that that project would go ahead and win an award - I mean it really is Murphy's law.

I'm so sorry - you'll have to try to focus your thoughts on lovely Revenue Canada instead! Gah!

I HAVE to see that picture! To make you feel better, go to my preggers blog and see what I put myself through. I could not FOR THE LIFE OF ME take a good picture. ;)
