What’s going on at your workplace?

I work in a weird place. Today in my building:

*There is a guy in a giant bubble promoting getting a certain vaccine. When I saw him last he was eating his lunch and talking on his cell phone in the bubble.

*There is a disaster demonstration with people screaming, crying and bleeding with fake bricks burying various body parts, some attached, some not.

*There is a bird trapped in the building, chirping and crapping all over the walls.

*There is a breast cancer awareness bake sale where they are selling, among other things, boob cupcakes.

*The chandeliers in the new dentist office are being installed.

*There’s a group offering free popcorn to entice random people into their free lecture on epidemiology.

At least you're never bored! And the boob cupcakes are a cute idea for raising awareness.

Hee! You DO work in a wierd place.

I killed a deer at work first thing this morning (<-- long story, and believe me the deer is better off this way). And yesterday I spent the whole day burning up grasslands. Does that make my job wierd too?

Your work place is way more interesting than mine that is for sure!

too funny! that boob cupcake is an image that I will not be able to erase from my brain. Apparently, boob imagery is rampant - I went to Home Depot to buy a basic light fixture for my kitchen, and 99% of all the fixtures looked exactly like large, glowing breasts.

I blinked my way through this list. The first two items are TRULY startling, although my son was cheerfully putting red gumdrops on top of white cupcakes the other day - when asked what they were, he said very cheerfully "Boobs!". I thought at the time he was just being a Junior Perve, but it turns out that he was trying to raise breast cancer awareness. Tsk, I misjudged the poor lad.

Hee hee! I work on a university campus, too, and I love the randomness of it all.
