New appliances!

We finally got our new kitchen appliances on the weekend! We've had the fridge for a few weeks, but the stove took a little longer to arrive.

True to form, I researched the new appliances, checking pricing and reviews. I knew what features I wanted and knew how much I could get them for at various places. Then, when I got to the store, I changed my mind.

Instead of the fridge with the freezer on the bottom, we got a fridge with no freezer - it's all fridge! We bought a small chest freezer to put in the basement and it has turned out to be a good decision.

The range is the same one I had researched, except that instead of a warming drawer, we went for a full baking drawer (so the bottom drawer is another oven!) It is just so nice to be able to bake again!

Whoa that is cool about the fridge... we have a brand new side by side that came with the house when we bought it a couple of years ago but I love the idea of all fridge and relegating what little freezer stuff we have to the garage freezer. The only thing I would not like is no ice? Or does it have an ice maker or something in there???

Also, LOVE the stove. Want one!

AND the cupcakes make me HUNGRY!

Nope, no ice. But we're not ice people. The only time we use ice is to fill a cooler and then we just buy a bag at the corner store.

I want an all-fridge. All we keep in our freezer is popsicles.

Wow. It looks like a kitchen in a magazine or makeover show. When are you inviting us all over for dinner?

See I didn't even know you could get an ALL fridge fridge :)

Love it, the gas range looks beautiful. I often think it would be nice to convert to gas. Maybe in our next house, this house is our transition house. I love the idea of two areas to cook. I looked at that and hemmed and hawed over it it when we were looking. But in the end I didn't get it. And you know what. The drawer at the bottom is much smaller than our old one (because the oven is bigger, silly Chantal!) and it barely fits the stuff I used to store there. So I should have just gone for the second baking section...

Love the appliances!! I remember years and years ago you saying that you don't eat anything frozen, and you had no use for a freezer. I guess you finally got your wish!!

I've never heard of a fridge without a freezer. How smart!

My research of new appliances goes something like this
1) That is cute.
2) Can I force it to fit into the allowed space?
3)Maybe with a hammer?
4) Ok, I'll take it.
