My 50th post... what to do? what to do?

Well would you look at that? It’s my 50th post! I feel like I should do something celebratory like:

*List my 50 favourite things (ha! Like a crusty bitch like me could find 50 things I like)

*Share 50 things about me (seems long, boring and slightly narcissistic)

*Reflect on other things I’ve done 50 times (short list, has potential)

What have I decided to do? List 50 names I ever considered for my children (even if it was just briefly):

Abby
Alec
Alex
Alexis
Allie
Andrew
Anna
Annie
Ava
Bree
Brooke
Cabot
Chad
Charlie
Chloe
Dane
Ethan
Gracie
Jack
James
Jill
Kael
Kate
Keah
Knox
Kyra
Laine
Liam
Lily
Lindsay
Logan
Lucy
Luke
Macy
Maddie
Maggie
Max
Meg
Piper
Quinn
Reese
Rhys
Sage
Scarlet
Shae
Tess
Thomas
Will
Zane
Zoë

Have a great weekend!

You considered FIFTY names? Wow! Pretty good ones, though. I used variations on the Jill (Jillian) and Tess (Tessa) that I see on the list for two of mine.

I DO want you to post a 50 things about you list. I LIKE those kind of posts. They aren't boring at all. And sometimes narcissism is a good thing - you know, toot your own horn when no one else will and all that. Plus some of us may toot it some after we read the post. 'Cause I've talked you into it, right?

I like it!! I'll do the same thing, like....hmm I think i like, Lucy.....but then change my mind almost immediately.

Happy 50! Here's to 50 more!!

Yes, I came up with at least 50 names over three pregnancies... and we only ever agreed on four: Zoe, Luke, Macy (our kids' names) and Ava, which would have been Luke's name had he been a girl.

Jill was after my grandma, who was actually Jillian. There's actually a story behind that, which I'll write about sometime.

Neither one of my kid's names made it to the list.

But very very creative. I am impressed with the idea.

If Brother was a girl, he was going to be Maia Michelle. If Jelly Bean was a girl, he was going to be Eleanor Caite. :) You can see by the stylistic change that I was much younger when I had the first one! Or at least, it is evident to me.

So ... can I steal from your list in another 20 weeks or so???

Laural - absolutely! I'm not using them!

My mouth went DRY with delight when I realized what you were doing! OH, this was great fun to read!

I have about 13 of the names in common with you. ("About" because some are a little hard to tell: I had Margaret with the intention of calling her Meg or Maggie, so...is that zero or one or two?)

Artemisia - Dane sounded bad with our last name, but it is one of my faves - my dad grew up in a tiny town called Dane.

Swistle - Both Meg and Maggie were to honour my other grandmother, whose middle name was Margaret.

This is AWESOME! I'm sure you know that AD's name is on there. And Tess, of course, which is what most people call me.

I would still like you to do the 50 things about you though, kthx. I don't think those are boring.
